I hear that "the grunts have to much HP" whine all the time at SPUF and anywhere I talk about HL and its bullcrap. Sure, compared to the 1-5 shots from the weakest weapon we see nowadays in games its a lot but when you look at it the grunts take almost the same amount to kill as you do... ITS FAIR. I wish people would stop complaining about that.

Dangar, they have Power Combat Vests. The very same that our good friend Adrian Shepard has; which, mind you, works in very much the same way as the HEV.

Godamnit when you have to keep running backwards and foward to kill a group of what should be cannon fodder, emptying rounds into the them just isn't right! Although I have heard that the Source version has balancing issues, but godamnit if it isn't annoying when theres no over and they have those big blocky grenades.

Also Marc Laidlaw dismissed Opposing Force, and Blue Shift in an e-mail as opposing force was made by Gearbox and had very little input from Valve.

VALVe's stance on the issue of canon is (put loosely) 'if its included in the core story, its canon'.

Nowhere has Ladilaw or any other reputable VALVe dev dismissed OpFor and BS as being non-canon.
