Greatest Movie Zombie
Recent movies such as 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later and I am Legend have seen a move away from the shambling easily avoided Zombie and a shift towards a more fast attack style. To me, this is a welcomed change of pace (pun intended) and the sight of, for example, Robert Carlyle's character in 28 weeks being chased through the open countryside by a horde of Zombies sprinting after him is a much more scary prospect than something out of a Romero movie.
My question is, which zombie is 'the best' you have seen on the silver screen. This is not for game zombies, just movie zombies. To me, the aforementioned 28 days/weeks Zombies are the best. You? |

You've both misread the title. Corey, I'll give you your dues and blame the error on Kory's reply (he misled you
). The question was 'what is the greatest movie zombie' not 'greatest zombie movie'. Reading ftw. |

I Am Legend had vampires (they wern't living dead and they were harmed by sunlight)
The fast "zombies" in movies are always infected, not living dead therefore not zombies. Exception being to the remake of Dawn of the Dead movie (possibly? never saw it) But they are very creepy and can up a chase, they're the equivilent to a maniac cannibal really. However they're fuelled with rage and rarely work together. Plus they can starve to death and in 28DL they can be stopped like any other human, except they have a high pain threshold. The slow zombies are more daunting, in very large numbers they're unstoppable but a single one is no threat. A reflection on soceity in Romero films. They can only be stopped by removing the head or destorying the brain. They solely rely on the core of their brain to keep them "alive". So, the best movie zombie is..... *drum roll* Bub, from Day of the Dead. ![]() END OF THREAD
