Yes however, that doesn't mean everyone not in europe is like you. Generally speaking, Uefa is probably more likely to ring a bell if you live in europe.
And the first rule about soccer in europe is never ever ever call it soccer. It's football, and anyone who says otherwise is on a one way trip to the crazy house.
