Rock's never died out, but too many bands that should not be called rock are being called rock and its shameful...

That's why I listen to old music. Back in the 60's, 70's and 80's they knew what rock was!

Meh. It seems every band you see in the Music Mags tries to set itself apart from the others by saying they're a different genre like screamo, or emo-core etc... But they all end up sounding the same. But as far as I'm concerned, Joy Division are probably Indy Rock. Really..downbeat indy rock. The frontman was so depressed he killed himself. That's how depressing the music was.

lol actually first emo band came out in the late 80s s yeah... oh and JOy divisions singer killed himself cause the drugs he was taking where extremly depresing,,.
